The Market Development Representative (MDR) is responsible for generating new opportunities with banks and credit unions through outbound calling, emailing, and event support. This role requires strong communication skills, consistent activity, and the ability to quickly articulate the NextBranch value. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.
Annual Salary Range: 50k - 60k plus
Responsibilities
• Partner with the VP of Marketing and President of NextBranch to create qualified opportunities with financial institutions
• Conduct high-volume outbound calling and outbound emailing to generate interest and set appointments
• Communicate the NextBranch value clearly to prospects in banking and credit unions
• Attend industry tradeshows and support on-site lead generation
• Manage inbound inquiries and respond in a professional, timely manner
• Maintain accurate and detailed records in HubSpot for all outreach and follow-up activity
• Track leads through the funnel and ensure timely follow-up
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to improve outreach strategy and messaging
• Meet or exceed monthly appointment and activity targets
• Build strong early-stage relationships that establish trust and interest
Requirements
- At least one year of customer service or sales experience with strong phone presence
- Confidence and skill in cold calling and outbound outreach
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize high-impact activities
- Proven track record of meeting or surpassing activity or sales targets
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision
- Experience working with financial institutions is a plus
- College education is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $40,000
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000
